  • Penn State Harrisburg Announces 2015-2016 CAC All-Academic Team

    Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.

    Middletown, Pa.- This afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted Mary Washington in their final regular season game. The Lady Lions stayed strong throughout the first half but struggled to get points on the board in the second half. Mary Washington went on to win 67-49.
  • Lion's Fourth Quarter Surge Brings Home the Win

    Dover, DE- Wednesday February 17th, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team took on Wesley in the start to their last week of the regular season. Both teams battled back and forth throughout the first three quarters. The Lions found their momentum in the last three minutes of the game by scoring 15 points and going on to win 69-57.

    St. Mary’s, Md.- Saturday February 13th, today the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hit the road to take on St. Mary’s. The Lady Lions led at the end of the first quarter and both teams battled for the remainder of the game to keep the lead. Harrisburg fell in the final minute, 64-59.
  • Lady Lions Come Up Short Against the Saints

    Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday February 10th, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team took on Marymount (Va.), the top team in the conference. The Lions stayed strong throughout the first half before the Saints began to pull away in the second. Marymount went on to win, 68-50.

    Middletown, Pa.- Saturday February 6th, after a big win against Frostburg State this week, the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team looked to get their third straight win against Southern Virginia. The Knights early lead proved too much for Harrisburg, the Lions fell 87-68.

    Middletown, Pa.- Monday February 1st, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted Salisbury. Earlier in the season, the Sea Gulls took home the win. Tonight, the Lady Lions led for the entire game and went on to win 53-41.

    Newport News, Va.- Saturday January 30th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team traveled to Virginia to take on Christopher Newport. The Lady Lions started out strong in the first quarter but struggled as the game progressed. Penn State Harrisburg fell, 77-54, to the Captains.

    Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday January 7th, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team battled York (Pa.) one of the top team’s in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). The women fought all the way through the fourth quarter but came up just short, falling to the Spartans 64-50.

    Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday January 20th, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted Wesley in an important CAC matchup. Prior to the game, Wesley was in seventh place in the conference with Harrisburg close behind in eighth. The women led for the entire game and went on to win 69-54.

    Middletown, PA.- Saturday January 16th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team faced St. Mary’s (Md.). The women dominated the first half but could not stop the Seahawks second half surge. The visitors went on to win 56-54.

    Arlington, Va.- Wednesday January 13, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team hit the road to take on Marymount (Va.). The women battled the Saints throughout the first quarter. The home team went on to lead Harrisburg for the rest of the game and win 77-41.

    Buena Vista, Va.- Saturday January 9th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team traveled to Southern Virginia for their sixth conference game of the season. Harrisburg dominated all four quarters and went on to win 78-61.

    Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday January 6th, tonight the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted Christopher Newport. Going into the game, the Captains were in fifth place in the conference with Harrisburg behind in sixth. The women put up a solid effort in the first half but the visitors pulled away in the second half. The Captains went on to win 75-48.

    York, Pa.- Saturday January 2nd, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team faced the York College Spartans for their fourth conference game of the season. The women struggled in the first quarter but came back in the second to bring York’s (Pa.) lead to only three. In the second half the home team pulled away and went on to beat Harrisburg, 62-45.

    Reading, Pa. - Wednesday December 30th, the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team battled non-conference opponent Alvernia, after spending some time off for Winter break. The Lions dominated the first quarter but trailed going into half time. Harrisburg pulled away in the fourth quarter and went on to defeat the Crusaders 77-68.

    Salisbury, Md.- Wednesday December 9th, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team took on Salisbury for their third conference game of the year. The Lady Lions lead at the end of the first quarter but trailed for the remainder of the game. The Seagulls went on to win 65-55.

    Fredericksburg, Va.- Saturday December 5th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team travelled to Mary Washington for their second conference game of the year. Harrisburg started the game off by leading twice throughout the first quarter but the Eagles lead in the second half proved to be too much for Harrisburg. Mary Washington won 79-55.

    Middletown, Pa.- Wednesday December 2nd, after a tough loss to Misercordia, the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team was looking to win their first conference game of the year against Frostburg State. Frostburg State came back to take the lead in the fourth quarter but Harrisburg held on and won 53-52.

    Dallas, Pa.- Sunday November 29th, this afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team traveled to Dallas to take on Misercordia. Harrisburg was looking to bounce back after a difficult loss to Mansfield. The women came out strong in the first half but fell to Misercordia 64-49.

    Middletown, Pa.- Tuesday November 24, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team faced Mansfield in a non-conference match up. The Lions came out strong and led going into halftime 31-29. The Mountaineers pulled away in the second half and defeated Harrisburg, 78-60.

    Penn State Harrisburg battled Old Westbury in the Championship game of the Roadrunner tip-off tournament at Ramapo College, today Nov. 21st. The Lions beat the Panthers 74-57.
  • Lady Lions defeats Roadrunners in the Ramapo Tip-off Tourney

    Mahwah, NJ.- After a tough loss to Dickinson on Tuesday November 17th , the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team traveled to Ramapo college to face the Ramapo Roadrunners in the first round of the Ramapo tip-off tournament on Friday November 20th. After a close game throughout the first half, the Lady Lions eventually went on and won the game by a score of 73-57.
  • Nittany Lions Fall to Dickinson

    Middletown, Pa.- Tuesday November 17, this evening the Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted Dickinson in a non conference game. The Nittany Lions came out strong but fell 71-58 to the Red Devils.
