September 1, 2017 Lions Win Opening Two Matches Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball started off the season strong with wins over St. Mary's in a nonconference match up and former NEAC foe Gallaudet.
August 29, 2017 CAC Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll and Video Release The Penn State Harrisburg women's volleyball team is ready to show everyone in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) the difference one year can make. The Lions have been improving steadily the past few seasons and expect 2017 will be the year they show what they are capable of in the very competitive CAC conference.
October 30, 2016 Lions Fall in Season Finale Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Wilkes University for their last two matches of the season as they took on Wilkes and Rutgers-Camden. In the first match, Penn State Harrisburg could not find their footing against a strong serving team as the Colonels kept the Lions off balanced throughout the match. Wilkes would take the first match 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-21). In match two the Lions took on Rutgers-Camden. The Lions came out strong taking the first set 25-21. But Rutgers would fight back coming from behind in the last three sets before taking the match 3-1 (21-25, 28-26, 25-18, 25-16).
October 29, 2016 Spartans Prove Too Much For Lions The Lions looked to end conference play with a big win against York College (Pa.). The Lions started the match off slow dropping the first set 25-13, but came back in set two leading the set the whole way before York taking it in the end 25-23. In set three, the Lions again came out firing. They jumped on the Spartans at the start of the set but could not find an answer losing the third set 25-23, and the match 3-0.
October 26, 2016 Lions Knock-Off Wildcats Penn State Harrisburg took on Penn College in their final home match of the year. The Lions looked to break a losing skid as they entered set one. Penn College looked to break out early keeping the set close, but with some unforced errors and late kills by the Lions, the Lions took set one 25-21. In set two, the Lions could not pull away from the Wildcats, but again some late kills by the Lions pushed them over the top claiming the 25-20 win. In the third and deciding set, the Lions looked to end it as they came out on fire putting together an eight point and two five point runs to take the set 25-7 and the match 3-0.
October 22, 2016 Captains Too Much For Lions The Lions entered the day looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Mary Washington last night but Christopher Newport and Washington and Lee proved too much for the young Lion squad.
