October 21, 2016 Lions Fall to the Eagles The young Harrisburg squad fought hard during their match against the 14th ranked Mary Washington Eagles but fell short in the end. The Lions could not find an answer for an Eagles team that hit .439 % with five different people collecting five or more kills. With the Eagles offense rolling the Lions fell in the end 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-9).
October 15, 2016 Lions Can Not Find Answer Against the Knights After a tough match last night the Lions could not find a groove against Southern Virginia. The Lions fought hard but could not find an answer for the hard hitting Knights. Throughout the three sets the Knights out hit the Lions while recording 13 blocks to take the match 3-0 (25-8, 25-17, 25-9).
October 14, 2016 Lions Fall to the Bobcats The Lions took on CAC foe Frostburg State for a home match held at Lower Dauphin high school. In set one, the Lions kept it close early, but the Bobcats pulled away late to take the set 25-19. In set two, the Lions looked to bounce back, but with another late rally from Bobcats again took set two 25-19. After a short break the Lions could not find a rhythm in set three falling to the Bobcats in straight sets.
October 11, 2016 Lions Fight Hard But Fall to Susquehanna The Lions looked to slow down a red hot Susquehanna team early in the first set. The Lions were able to keep it close before the Red Hawks pushed the lead to 14-6. A run by the Lions would bring it within a few points before the Red Hawks would close the set taking set one 25-18. In set two, the Lions got off to a slow start going down 4-0 early. With a strong defense behind them the Lions would fight back keeping in within two points late in the set before two quick kills by the Red Hawks would end the set 25-22. The Lions would fight in the third set but would not have enough left in the tank as they fell 3-0 to Susquehanna.
October 8, 2016 Lions Fall to the Saints Penn State Harrisburg looked to open their weekend with a win as they traveled to Arlington Va. to take on CAC Opponent Marymount (Va.). In set one, the Saints came out looking to end the set early, as they led from start to finish taking set one 25-14. In set two, the Lions looked to regroup as they fought hard keeping the set close throughout, but with the set tied up at 22, the Saints would score three unanswered points to take set two 25-22. With a crushing loss in set two the Lions could not find an answer in set three as the saints would take set three and the match three sets to none.
October 8, 2016 Lions Fall in Tri-Match The Lions traveled to St. Mary’s City, Md. for a tri-match against St. Mary’s (Md.) and Bridgewater (Va.).
