January 3, 2018 Lions Drop To Captains Newport News, VA – Penn State Harrisburg’s Men’s Basketball could not hold on to a six-point halftime lead, falling on the road to Christopher Newport. Chris Bing led the Lions with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Battling some foul trouble, Kahlil Williams added 14 points as well.
January 1, 2018 Bola Nominated for D3 Sports Top Center...Vote Now Middletown Pa. - Gbolahan Alliyu is a household name to anyone keeping up with Penn State Harrisburg athletics. After a very impressive start to his Junior season, his very large reach could go even further. December 30, 2017 Lions Overpower Lords Reading, PA – Penn State Harrisburg used a strong first half to build a 15-point advantage over Kenyon College in route to the victory. Anthony Bennett Jr. led the Lions offensively, scoring 19 points and gathering in 6 rebounds. Bennett Jr. was name to the All-Tournament for his efforts. Brandon Coleman scored 17 points for the Lions while going 7-7 at the free throw line.
December 29, 2017 Williams Scores 25 Points Reading, PA – Penn State Harrisburg’s second half rally came up just short as the Lions fell in their first round match-up against Albright College in the Crowne Plaza Holiday Tournament. Kahlil Williams led the Lions with 25 points. Harrisburg also got 15 points from Brandon Coleman and 14 points from Anthony Bennett Jr. In his first career game, Chris Bing scored 10 points for the Lions.
December 17, 2017 Alliyu Posts 11 Points and 15 Rebounds Elizabethtown, PA – Penn State Harrisburg could not hold off a strong second half push by the Blue Jays and fell by one point. The Lions got a strong effort for Freshman Anthony Bennett Jr. who scored 21 points in his first career start. Gbolahan Alliyu also contributed 11 points and 15 rebounds.  
December 4, 2017 Lions Rally Comes Up Short Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s basketball team continued to show flashes of brilliance against the 5-1 DeSales Bulldogs on Monday December 4th.  Unfortunately, their first half effort and shot percentage from the visitors allowed for too large of a lead to overcome, despite a very well fought second half from the Lions.

Athletes Of The Week

Alex White - Track and FieldAlex White is this week's Men's Student-Athlete of the Week. Alex broke the school record in the High Jump this past weekend at the Spartan Invitational on Staten Island, NY. Alex's mark of 2.00 has him qualified for both the Capital Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference championship meets. His height has him currently ranked #1 in the conference. The Lions hold the top two spots in that event!
Abrianna Hamby - Track and FieldTrack and Field's Abrianna Hamby has been named the Women's Student-Athlete of the Week for January 17th. Abrianna has officially put her name into the record books at last weekends Spartan Invitational by breaking the school record for Weight Throw! Abrianna tossed a 10.46 meters throw to break the previous mark of 9.94 set in December of 2017! Abrianna now enters the top 10 in the conference with her throw.
