The Penn State Harrisburg men and women's track and field teams had three athletes earn All-Conference honors after dominating the competition at this year's Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships. Ashley Williams led the women with her performance in the 100 meter hurdles, while Cameron yon dominated the men's discuss and Jalil Clayton took honors with his efforts in the men's high jump.
Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.
Westfield, MA – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s outdoor track teams finished off their team competitions for the year with strong showings from both the men’s and women’s side at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships May 18-29, 2016 hosted at Westfield State University . Although, there were multiple top ten finisher’s, freshman Cameron Yon (Patuxent River, MD / Great Mills High School) continued to show his dominance with a second place finish in the men’s discuss, earning him the right to compete at next week’s NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Waverly, Iowa.
University Park, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track and field team took advantage at their final outing of the year at the Jim Thorpe Open hosted at Penn State University on May 6th. Ashley Williams took a first place in the 100 meter dash while Jalen Williams took first on the men side in the 200 meter dash.

Gettysburg, Pa.- On Saturday April 16th, the Penn State Harrisburg women’s track and field team placed eleventh overall at the 2016 Mason Dixon Invitational. Ashley Williams led for the women with a second place finish in the women’s 100 meter hurdles.
Grantham, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track and field teams traveled to Messiah for the 2016 Messiah Invitational at Starry Field. Saturday’s inclement weather forced competition to Monday where several Harrisburg athletes took home first place finishes.
Millersville, Pa.- Ashley Williams paced the Penn State Harrisburg women's track and field team with a third place finish in the women's 100 meter hurdles. Williams performance ranks her first in Capital Athletic Conference for the 100 meter hurdles.
Elizabethtown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg track and field team opened up their spring season this weekend at the Elizabethtown Early Bird Opener. The men placed second overall as a team while the women placed sixth
Jalil Clayton (Chester, PA / Chester High School) and Ashley Williams (Easton, PA / Easton Area High School) were named NCAA Division III All-Region Honorees for the 2016 indoor track and field season. The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honors those who have placed in the top- 5 of their individual events during the indoor track and field season.
Staten Island, N.Y.- The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships concluded on Saturday with several Penn State Harrisburg athletes placing in the top ten in their respective events.
Newport News, VA – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track and field teams competed Sunday February 21st in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Christopher Newport. The Lions in just their second season of NCAA Division III competition had two CAC title winners. Ashley Williams (Easton, PA / Easton Area High School) took home the women’s 60 meter hurdle title and Jalil Clayton (Chester, PA / Chester High School) took home a first place finish in the men’s high jump.
The Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's track and field teams competed Sunday February 21st in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Christopher Newport. Ashley Williams (Easton, PA / Easton Area High School) took home the women's 60 meter hurdle title and helped the women to almost double their team point output from the previous year's CAC Championships with her 9.03 finish in the hurdles. Even more impressive is the fact that Williams now also holds the CAC meet record, beating last year's champ Enuma Ezenwa's time by .07 seconds.
Entering just its second year of competition at the CAC Indoor Championships, PENN STATE HARRISBURG will look to improve on its point total from last year’s meet under the guidance of head coach Danielle Lynch. Sophomore sprinter Ashley Williams ranks atop the CAC in the 60-meter hurdles entering the championship meet with a time of 9.05 seconds, while freshman Ashley Peart ranks fourth in the long jump with a mark of 16’-4.25”.

Lewisburg, Pa.- Over the weekend the Penn State Harrisburg men's and women’s track and field teams participated in the 18th Annual Bison Open held by Bucknell University. Several student athletes took home first and second place in their respective events.
MIDDLETOWN, PA- Fallon Joseph (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg) is a sophomore studying Political Science and Criminology with a minor in Philosophy. She is currently a member of both the Track of Field and Cross Country team on campus. She has run cross country since the 7th grade but she now participates in the throwing and jumping events. She is also a member of IMPACT, which provides a church environment for members at school.
Selinsgrove, Pa.- Last night the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s indoor track team traveled to Susquehanna University to participate in the Indoor Orange and Maroon Classic. Several of Harrisburg’s athletes broke school records and had personal bests.
Kutztown, Pa.- Last night the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track team participated in the Golden Bear Invitational held by Kutztown University. Several athletes qualified for the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championship.
Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Ursinus College to compete in their first meet of the year, The Bow-tie Classic, this past Saturday, December 5th. The team started their year off with a bang, breaking seven school records, qualifying three for the CAC Championships, and qualifying one for the ECAC Championships.
