Gettysburg, Pa.- On Saturday April 16th, the Penn State Harrisburg women's track and field team placed eleventh overall at the 2016 Mason Dixon Invitational. Ashley Williams led for the women with a second place finish in the women's 100 meter hurdles.
Logan Akers got things started for the Lion's with a fifth place finish in the women's 1,000 meter run with a time of 42: 56.45. Williams placed the highest for Harrisburg with a second place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.40 seconds.
In the field events, senior Erin Goodyear finished fourth in the discus throw, tallying a distance of 32.28 meters. Rachale Hair placed fifth in the javelin and ninth in the shot put.
Penn State Harrisburg will travel to Frostburg State on Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd for the 2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
