    Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team were host to the Mary Washington Eagles Saturday February 22nd. The game was filled with physical play and a mentality of no easy buckets was the mantra for both squads. Freshmen Rebecca Bailey (Tobyhanna, Pa. / Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg) and Kaitlyn Carmo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra Area) combined to score 30 points for the Lions in their 69-49 loss to the Eagles.

    Dover Del. – The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team played their second to last game of the season on the road Wednesday February 19th. The lions kept things tight for most of the contest, but in the end suffered a 58-44 loss to the Wesley Wolverine's.

    Newport News, Va. - Penn State Harrisburg held a first half lead over the #13 ranked Christopher Newport in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Basketball Saturday February 15th. Unfortunately as the game moved on, the Captains would eventually win their 20th game of the season 72-51.
  • Marymount (Va.) Ends Lions Playoff Hopes

    The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team started out scoring within the first six seconds of the game by having Kaitlyn Carmo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra) hitting a quick 3 pointer in their Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) matchup Wednesday February 12th against the Marymount Saints. Once that basket was made, the Lion’s put immediate pressure on the Lady Saints forcing them to run the clock out on their first possession. The Saints knew they were going to have a tough time once they realized how aggressive Harrisburg started out playing on both ends of the court.

    Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team used a full team effort with three players scoring in double digits and one player with nine on their way to beating the Southern Virginia Knights 59-40.

    Frostburg St., Md. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team started out with an 8-0 run in their Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) matchup Thursday February 6th against the Frostburg St. Bobcats. Unfortunately, despite a pair of double-double’s, 40 turnovers would prove too costly as the Lions fell 75-63.
  • Carmo Sets Career High at St. Mary’s(Md.)

    Kaitlyn Carmo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra) proved to herself and the rest of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) today that she is one of the best guards in the conference. Carmo led the Lions by scoring 28 points in their 60-54 loss to the St. Mary’s (Md.) Eagles on Saturday February 1st.

Kiara Carter (Bronx, N.Y./ Milton Hershey) posted her fifth double-double of the season for the Lions, but they fell one shot short in a thrilling Capital Athletic Conference home game.

    The Penn State Harrisburg Women's Basketball team allowed an early 10-0 run that didn't stop stinging until nine minutes into the game, finding themselves down 17-2. Despite bouncing back strong in the second half the early lead would be too much to overcome as the Lions lost to the Mary Washington Eagles 66-31.

    The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team faced a difficult test on the road against the Marymount Saints Wednesday January 16th. Kaityln Carmo (Palmyra, Pa. / Palmyra) led the team in points and rebounds, but the Lions would eventually fall to the Saints 66-28.

    Penn State Harrisburg used a clutch three ball from Rachel Moyer in the final two minutes to take and keep the lead over Souther Virginia. The Lions then held on in the final minute to pull out an exciting 62-60 win on the road Wednesday January 8th.

    Lancaster, Pa – The Lions were coming off their biggest win of the season taking down Frostburg St. scoring a season high 90 points for their first conference win of the year Wednesday December 11th at the Capital Union Building. After the big win, Harrisburg was looking forward to their match up against former NEAC Foe Lancaster Bible. Unfortunately the Charger’s Katy Stover had a career night scoring 32 points while the team used an early 20-5 run to help them secure their fifth win of the season 80 - 65.

They came into tonight’s match up verse the 6-0 York Spartans with an even 3-3 record and were hopeful to pull the upset. Unfortunately an early 21-4 run by the home team would prove too much to overcome for the young Lions as they suffered their first CAC conference loss 84-41.

Junior guard Miranda Zeanchock (Carrolltown, Pa. / Cambria Heights) also netted 14 points for the Lions.

    Buffalo NY. – Penn State Harrisburg’s women’s basketball team got its 2013-14 season underway on Friday night, Nov. 15 by facing the tournament host Buffalo State in the opening round of the Betty Abgott Women's Basketball Invitational tip-off tournament. The Lions were able to keep things tight for most of the first half, but the Bengal’s eventually wore down the young Lions on way to a 75-52 win.
