Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team celebrated their two seniors Rachel Moyer (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Emilee Truitt (West Chester, Pa / Bishop Shanahan) in the final game of the season Saturday February 21st. Unfortunately the Christopher Newport Captains did not come to just honor the Lion seniors; the visitors put a damper on the day by defeating Harrisburg 80-52.
Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team hosted the Wesley Wolverines on Wednesday February 18th at the Capital Union Building (CUB). The Lions were already out of the playoff race, but with the Wolverines needing a win to stay in contention, both teams had plenty to play for.
Fredericksburg, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions traveled to face off against the Mary Washington Eagles on Saturday February 14th. Despite the festive holiday, the Lions received no love from the second place Eagles.
Arlington, Va. – After losing to the Marymount Saints just three weeks ago, the Lady Lions of Penn State Harrisburg looked to get revenge over one of the top seeds in the Capital Athletic Conference Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, the Saints lived up to their record and the Blue and White were not able to steal one on the road as they lost 63-40.
Buena Vista, Va. - After falling to the last place Frostburg State Bobcats, Wednesday February 4th, the Lady Lions looked to regroup Saturday February 7th against the Knights of Southern Virginia. Unfortunately for the Blue and White, they were not able to snap their six game skid as they fell to the Knights 88-61.
Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team was looking for their second win over the Frostburg Bobcats Wednesday February 4th at the Capital Union Building. In the first outing, the Lions came back from a 16 point first half deficit to finish with a 60-58 point win on the road. The Bobcats had different ideas as they jumped out to a 21 point first half lead that the Lions would not be able to come back from this time around.
Middletown, PA –The Penn State Harrisburg women’s basketball team faced off against the St Mary’s (Md.) Seahawks Saturday January 31st at the Capital Union Building. Both teams were in need of a win as the playoff picture is starting to take shape and needed an additional overtime period to find a winner.
York, Pa. - Heading into the final stretch of the regular season, Penn State Harrisburg and York College were deadlocked at 3-7 in the Capital Athletic Conference, both still in contention for sneaking into the CAC playoffs. The Lions defeated the Spartans earlier this season at home December 3rd with a convincing 71-62 victory. York was determined to even the score with the visiting Lions, and that is just what they did as they defeated Harrisburg 72-55.
Middletown, PA – The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions faced off against the #17 ranked Salisbury Seagulls Sunday January 25th. Despite a valiant first half effort and an impressive game from the Lions Kiara Carter (Bronx, NY. / Milton Hershey), Salisbury’s second half performance was too much for Harrisburg to overcome as the Seagull’s claimed their tenth win of the season to stay undefeated in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play.
Middletown, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lion’s hosted the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Marymount Saint’s on Wednesday January 21st. Harrisburg kept a tight first half against the Saint’s, but the visitor’s guards stole the game from the Lions in the final minutes to win 53-38.
Dover, De. – Looking to put a stop to their five game skid, Penn State Harrisburg used a balanced scoring attack to take down the Wesley College Wolverines on Wednesday January 14th. The Lions picked up their third win in conference play and are now one win away from .500 in the grueling Capital Athletic Conference (CAC).
Newport News, Va. - After a devastating two point loss at home Wednesday night against the Southern Virginia Knights, the Lions traveled to Christopher Newport to take on the Captains Saturday December 10th. Unfortunately for the Blue and White, they were not able to bounce back as they fell to the Captains 77-52.
Kiara Carter (Bronx, NY/ Milton Hershey) went for 22 points and 18 rebounds in a Penn State Harrisburg loss to the Southern Virginia Knights 65-63 Wednesday January 7th.

St. Mary’s City, Md. -The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions looked to start the 2015 portion of its season off with a victory on the road against a winless St. Mary’s University. The Seahawks had a different plan in mind as they came out with a huge second half rally to take down the Lions 69-52.
Middletown, Pa. - Coming off a hard fought come from behind win at Frostburg State Wednesday, the Lady Lions looked to take their momentum into Friday night’s contest against Lancaster Bible. Unfortunately, the visiting Chargers had a different plan in mind as they took down the Lions 65-47.
Frostburg, Md. - Penn State Harrisburg got off to a sluggish start on the road against Frostburg State Wednesday December 10th. The Lions then rallied from a 16 point deficit at halftime, and as much as a 19 point hole in the second half to shock the Bobcats with a 60-58 comeback victory.
Salisbury, Md. – The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team struggled on the road against the Capital Athletic Conference preseason favorite Salisbury University Saturday December 6th. The Lions fell 89-42, which evens their conference record to 1-1.
Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Lady Lions hosted the York Spartans December 3rd for their home opener of the season as well as their first Capital Athletic Conference contest of the year. Grantham, Pa.-The Penn State Harrisburg women's basketball team struggled on the road against Messiah College. Despite keeping things tight in the first ten minutes, the Falcons proved to be too much for the visiting Lions winning 64-36.
Selinsgrove, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg was coming off an impressive 65-59 win over the Staten Island Dolphins in Saturday's first round game of the Susquehanna Pepsi Tip Off Tournament which earned the Lions a spot in Sunday's Championship against the hosting Crusader’s. Harrisburg held strong for most of the game, but eventually ran out of steam and suffered a 61-41 loss.
Selinsgrove, Pa.-Penn State Harrisburg clinched their first season victory in a nail-biting performance over Staten Island on Saturday night, Nov. 22. The Lady Lion's creative offense and aggressive defense helped them to defeat the Staten Island Dolphins in an exciting 65-59 win.
The Penn State Harrisburg Women's Basketball team lost a tough one against Alvernia by the score of 78-67 in the Consolation game of the McDaniel's Tip-Off Tournament.
The Lady Lions traveled to McDaniel Saturday November 15th to take on the Green Terror in their home tip-off tournament for both teams first games of the season. Unfortunately the Lions women's basketball team fell in its season opener to McDaniel College by a score of 79-47.
