Softball Team Drops Two to WesleyApril 14, 2017MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg looked to gain some ground on Friday when they hosted Wesley College in a conference double-header matchup, but were unable to come away with a win, Falling to the Wolverines in both contests. They struggled to find any offense in game one, but battled hard in the second contest before succumbing to their opponents in extra innings.

Harrisburg Gets Road Sweep Over EasternApril 11, 2017St. Davids, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Eastern University on Tuesday April 11th for a non-conference double head with the Eagles. The Lions fell behind early in game one, but with the help of Emily Parmer’s three RBI’s finished with an exciting 3-4 win. Penn State Harrisburg left nothing to chance in game two, scoring three runs in the first inning on way to a 10-2 win.

Bats Fall Silent for Softball Team in Losses to StevensonApril 09, 2017STEVENSON, Md. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team traveled to Stevenson University on Sunday to take on the Mustangs while looking to put an end to their current eight-game slide. Unfortunately, the offense still struggled to find holes and produce runs, losing both sides of the twin bill and increasingly their losing streak to ten games.

Offense Hard to Come by for Softball Team in Losses to Frostburg StateApril 08, 2017MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team hosted conference rival Frostburg State on Saturday, but fell to the Bobcats in both sides of the twin bill. Of the 14 innings played, the Lions were only able to muster up one run total. As a result, the team falls to 2-8 in conference play, and sees their season-long losing streak grow to eight games.

Softball Team Steals Two from Elizabethtown College in Home OpenersMarch 27, 2017MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – After a multitude of postponements due to inclement weather over the past couple of weeks, the Penn State Harrisburg Softball team finally got to play meaningful ball on their home field for the first time all season on Monday afternoon. Already 12 games into their season, the team played host to the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays in an afternoon double-header. The Lions managed to capture wins in both sides, improving their record to 10-4 overall.

Coach Dengler Claims 100th WinMarch 08, 2017The Penn State Harrisburg softball team had a successful Spring Break trip, winning six of eight games to return home with a 6-2 record. Harrisburg showed extremely well scoring 53 runs and giving up just seven, finishing the trip on a four game win streak.
