    ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team traveled to Penn State Abington to take on their branch campus—and former Northeast Athletic Conference—rivals on Monday for an afternoon twin bill. The Abington Lions were over-matched from the start, as Harrisburg had their bats rolling early and often, winning both contests in convincing fashion. Here’s how the games played out:

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team wrapped up conference play at home on Saturday against rival Salisbury, but the Lions were unable to overcome a challenging Seagulls squad in either of the two match-ups on the afternoon. Here’s how each game played out:
  • Softball Team Drops Two to Wesley

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg looked to gain some ground on Friday when they hosted Wesley College in a conference double-header matchup, but were unable to come away with a win, Falling to the Wolverines in both contests. They struggled to find any offense in game one, but battled hard in the second contest before succumbing to their opponents in extra innings.
  • Harrisburg Gets Road Sweep Over Eastern
    April 11, 2017
    St. Davids, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Eastern University on Tuesday April 11th for a non-conference double head with the Eagles. The Lions fell behind early in game one, but with the help of Emily Parmer’s three RBI’s finished with an exciting 3-4 win. Penn State Harrisburg left nothing to chance in game two, scoring three runs in the first inning on way to a 10-2 win.
  • Bats Fall Silent for Softball Team in Losses to Stevenson

    STEVENSON, Md. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team traveled to Stevenson University on Sunday to take on the Mustangs while looking to put an end to their current eight-game slide. Unfortunately, the offense still struggled to find holes and produce runs, losing both sides of the twin bill and increasingly their losing streak to ten games.
  • Offense Hard to Come by for Softball Team in Losses to Frostburg State

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team hosted conference rival Frostburg State on Saturday, but fell to the Bobcats in both sides of the twin bill. Of the 14 innings played, the Lions were only able to muster up one run total. As a result, the team falls to 2-8 in conference play, and sees their season-long losing streak grow to eight games.

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg softball team returned home on Wednesday to host conference rival York (Pa.) in an afternoon double-header, but things did not pan out the way the team had hoped they would, falling to the Spartans in both contests.

    FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg softball team traveled south to take on the Mary Washington Eagles in part one of their weekend road trip, but struggled to find the offense that had aggressively shown itself earlier in the week.   • Softball Team Steals Two from Elizabethtown College in Home Openers

    MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – After a multitude of postponements due to inclement weather over the past couple of weeks, the Penn State Harrisburg Softball team finally got to play meaningful ball on their home field for the first time all season on Monday afternoon. Already 12 games into their season, the team played host to the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays in an afternoon double-header. The Lions managed to capture wins in both sides, improving their record to 10-4 overall.
  • Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team Adds Two to Win Column Versus Southern Virginia

    BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team traveled to Southern Virginia on Saturday to take on the Knights in an afternoon double-header.   • Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team Falls to Wilson in Both Sides of Double-Header

    CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Wilson College on Thursday to take on the Phoenix in an afternoon double-header matchup. Due to poor weather since returning from their Myrtle Beach Spring Training trip, the Nittany Lions had not played a game in over two weeks and the rust showed early on.

    Penn State Harrisburg's baseball and softball has announced a change to their schedules due to unfit playing conditions. Softball has cancelled their home game against Juniata for today with no make-up date set at this point. Baseball has cancelled their away game against Stevenson set for today with no make-up date set at this point.
  • Coach Dengler Claims 100th Win

    The Penn State Harrisburg softball team had a successful Spring Break trip, winning six of eight games to return home with a 6-2 record. Harrisburg showed extremely well scoring 53 runs and giving up just seven, finishing the trip on a four game win streak. Separate of the Lions great start, Coach Tonya Dengler hit a special milestone of her own, claiming her 100th win....
  • Lions Turn Out the Lights on Chatham, La Roche

    Penn State Harrisburg swept doubleheader action under the lights in Myrtle Beach on Monday night. The Lions defeated Chatham University 11-0 in four innings and La Roche College 5-0.
