  • Softball squad splits pair of doubleheaders

    The college’s softball team battled the elements and two opponents to split a pair of recent doubleheaders. At Penn State Abington on Tuesday, April 3, the Lady Lions took the first game 6-3 behind an outstanding pitching performance by freshman Desiree Hipple (Elizabethtown). Hipple notched her first collegiate win, striking out two and scattering eight hits in the game. She received offensive support from senior outfielder Nicole Adams (Newport) who went two-for-three. In the second game, defensive woes contributed a 13-5 Harrisburg loss.
