The college's intercollegiate softball and baseball squads head west this weekend for crucial conference doubleheaders as both teams continue their push for Penn State University Athletic Conference postseason playoff spots.

The teams will each play doubleheaders on Saturday, April 14 at Penn State Beaver and then battle their Penn State Fayette counterparts in twin bills on Sunday, April 15.

The women's softball team, after dropping 6-4 and 13-5 decisions to Penn State Mont Alto on Tuesday, April 10, now sports a 4-4 conference mark and a 4-6 overall record.

The baseball team, which lost 12-9 to visiting Penn State Delaware County on Tuesday, is now 10-5 in the conference and 11-11 overall.

The baseball team returns to the area for a single game at Penn State York on Wednesday, April 18 beginning at 3 p.m.

The softball team's next home clashes are Saturday, April 21 against Penn State Schuylkill and Sunday, April 22 against Penn State Hazleton. Both are doubleheaders beginning at noon.
