Softball players earn all-conference honors

    Two mainstays on Penn State Harrisburg's softball squad, Amanda Pearson and Krystal Miranda, have capped impressive seasons by being named to the All-Penn State University Athletic Conference first team.

    Pearson, a senior outfielder from Warwick High School in Lititz, batted .425 for the season with 17 singles, a double, and a home run while driving home 13. Miranda, a sophomore infielder from South Bound Brook N.J., led the team with a .432 batting average on 19 singles, three triples, two homers, and a team-best 22 RBI.

    Earning PSUAC honorable mention honors for Harrisburg were freshman infielder Michelle Herb from Halifax High School and Amanda Mentzer, a graduate student from Lower Dauphin High School.

    Head coach Tanya Dengler's team finished the PSUAC season with a 10-10 mark.
