The Penn State Harrisburg golf team finished third overall in the 2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) golf championships held by Christopher Newport. A trio of Penn State Harrisburg golfers were repeat All-CAC selections - senior Tyler Massar, sophomore Keith Miller, and junior Tyler Shank - with all three earning second-team honors. Massar claimed his second-straight second team award, Miller was on the first team in 2015, and Shank earned All-CAC honors for the third time.
Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.

The seven CAC teams had the pleasure of competing in the three day event at the prestigious Bay Creek Resort, Niklaus Course.
A new era of CAC Men's Golf begins this week, as the winner of this year's CAC Championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the first time ever. The 2016 CAC Men's Golf Championship will also feature a three-round format for the first time, beginning Friday, April 15 and concluding on Sunday, April 17 at Bay Creek Golf Course in Cape Charles, Va.
Pennsauken, NJ- Sophomore Keith Miller shot four over par this afternoon to lead Penn State Harrisburg at the Rutgers Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Invitational. The Lion’s placed second as a team and had three individuals place in the top five.
Abbottstown, Pa.- Penn State Harrisburg finished eighth out of eleven teams over the weekend at the McDaniel Spring Invitational held at the Bridges Golf Course.
Lebanon, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg golf team traveled to Lebanon Valley on Monday March 28th for the LVC Dutchmen Invitational. The Lion’s had several strong individual performances and finished third as a team out of a total 20 teams.
Elkton, Md.- Tyler Massar was the top finishing Penn State Harrisburg golfer in fourth as the Lion’s took part in Saturday’s Revolutionary Collegiate Classic at Patriots Glen National Gold Club.
Coach Malcolm Jackson will begin his first season as the Head Men’s Golf Coach Spring 2016. Coach Jackson brings 5 years of prior collegiate coaching experience to the program. Jackson spent two years as the assistant coach at his alma mater Elizabethtown College, before being elevated to the position of head coach for three years. The Blue Jay program was lifted to new heights under his leadership. Jackson earned his degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.
Lancaster, Pa.- On Monday October 19th the Penn State Harrisburg men’s golf team participated in the 2015 Franklin and Marshall Fall Invitational. The tournament took place in Lancaster at the Bent Creek Country Club. Overall, the men placed eighth out of nineteen total teams.
Canonsburg, Pa.- Over the past two days the Penn State Harrisburg men’s golf team participated in the Peter C. Rossin Memorial Tournament. The tournament was hosted by Washington and Jefferson. The men placed second overall while also having several individuals place in the top five.
Cape Charles, Va.- Over the past two days, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s golf team played in the Bay Creek Invitational held by fellow Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) competitor, Christopher Newport. The Lions had several players place in the top twenty and they finished third as a team.
Harrisburg, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's golf team held their own invitational this morning and ended up placing fourth out of eleven teams. The team also had two individuals place in the top ten.
Harrisonburg, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg golf team started off their season by setting new school records at the Tom Kreider Memorial Tournament. On the first day, the Nittany Lions finished the with a score of 296. By the end of day two, they had a cumulative score of 600. Both of these scores set new school records for the Nittany Lions in their match of the year.
