CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country programs turned in another record-breaking performance at the DeSales Invitational on Saturday morning, Oct. 9.

The women were once again paced by their 1-2 punch of Tatyana Gibson and Samantha Aromin, with each runner turning in jaunts that topped the previous program record in a 6K event. Gibson earned a 19th-place finish thanks to her effort of 24:24.4 and Aromin crossed the line right behind her teammate with a mark of 24:24.5 that also secured her a top-20 finish in a race that included 179 total runners.

Elsewhere, Abagail Marquardt posted a time of 29:10.3, while Kyli Moon-Rumsey and Dominique Taylor completed the scoring contingency for the Blue & White. As a group, the Lions earned a 14th-place finish out of 19 competing teams.

On the men's side, it was Paolo Aranoff leading the way, as his effort of 28:31.2 was strong enough to secure him a 54th-place finish out of 189 total competitors. His mark also proved a new personal best and the third-quickest time in program history.

Jordan Payne also turned in a strong effort, finishing 75th thanks to a jaunt of 29:13.1. Logan Cook came home just seconds behind him in 81st with a time of 29:31.4. Luke Culver, Steven Painter, Mohammed Sakayl, Zachary Malay, and Nic Spohn rounded out the team's group of runners on the day. As a team, Penn State Harrisburg earned a 10th-place finish out of 17 total squads.

The Lions will head to Hood on Saturday morning, Oct. 16 for one last tune up before turning their focus to the United East Championships on Oct. 30.
