Aromin, Aranoff Sweep United East XC Weekly Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – Penn State Harrisburg men's and women's cross country programs have swept the United East Weekly Awards. Samantha Aromin has been named the conference's women's runner of the week, while Paolo Aranoff earned the conference's men's runner of the week honor.

Aromin won the individual championship at Lancaster Bible's Charger Invite on Friday evening, setting the program record in a 6K race thanks to her time of 25:01.7. Her effort helped lead the Lions to a second-place finish out of five competing schools at the event.

Aranoff earned a runner-up finish in the men's race at Lancaster Bible and secured a spot in the program record book in the process. He posted a time of 28:49.9; a mark strong enough to rank as the third-quickest effort in program history.

Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's cross country teams will return to action at Dickinson's Long/Short Meet on Saturday morning, Sept. 25.
