Penn State Harrisburg's women's cross country team competed Saturday November 1st at the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) cross country championships.
The Lions Rachel Sechrist (Allentown, Pa. / Salisbury) led her squad finishing 66th thanks to her time of 26:42. She was followed by Laura Hernandez (Toa Alta, Puerto Rico / Academia Discipulos de Cristo) with a time of 27:25 for 74th place and Nicole Lindie (Bowie, Md / Bowie) who took 81st with her 31:10.
Christopher Newport edged out Mary Washington for the CAC Championship Crown. Harrisburg finished 10th of the ten teams competing.
The Lions have a few runners who will compete at the NCAA regional meet two weeks from now to close out their 2014 season.
