LATHAM, N.Y. - Thanks to her efforts in four matches last week, Penn State Harrisburg's Olivia Bandini has been named the United East Volt Division Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Bandini was nearly perfect in her first action of the season, helping lead the Lions to a 3-1 week of competition in Hilton Head, S.C. The reigning United East Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year went 4-0 from her No. 2 singles spot and 3-1 while teaming with Anita Liu in the second doubles position, with all four of her solo victories coming in two sets.
Penn State Harrisburg (5-5) returns to action at Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon.
