TEMPE, Ariz. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's and women's tennis programs, as well as a dozen individual players, were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their academic success during the 2022-23 campaign.

The men's and women's tennis teams each earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition for posting a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher during the most-recent academic year. For the women, it is the program's ninth consecutive ITA All-Academic Team honor, while the most-recent accolade is the fourth in a row for the men.

Individually, women's players Olivia Bandini, Breanna DeSantis, Carissa Fallon, Chelsy-Sippora Funebe, Cassandra Ginder, and Sarah Shaub earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, as did men's players Casey Detwiler, Colin Flack, Derwin Merca, Owen Ou, Nick Rohn, and Andrew Schreck. To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner and hold a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year.
