Women's Tennis Falls to SU In Penultimate Fall Outing

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg hosted Susquehanna for its penultimate match of the fall season, falling 7-2 to the River Hawks at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6.

 

Doubles play was highlighted by the Lions' top team of Sydney Nye and Elysse Mellott, as the pair defeated SU's No. 1 duo of Ashlynn Searer and Haley White 9-7.

 

Harrisburg's lone victory in singles action came from Maria Torre, as the senior took care of Susquehanna's Eliza Griffin 6-3, 7-5 in the No. 2 contest.

 

The Lions (2-3) return to action for their final match of the fall when they host Arcadia on Tuesday afternoon.
