Fredericksburg, Va.-Over the weekend two Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis players traveled to Mary Washington to play in the ITA Southeast Regional Women's Tennis Championships. Teammates Sydney Nye and Alicia Hitz represented the Lion's in both singles and doubles events.
Singles Matches:
Semifinals: Nye lost to Alexandra Collins 6-0, 6-1
Quarter Finals: Nye defeated Kelly Worthington 1-6, 6-1, 10-6
Round of 16: Nye defeated Ali Tomasevich 6-1, 6-4
-Hitz was defeated by Taylor Bradley 6-2, 6-3
Consolation: Hitz fell to Samatha Procak 8-4
Doubles Matches:
Round of 16: Nye and Hitz lost to Capadagli and Hertzer 8-6
Consolation: Hadland and Simpson defeated Hitz and Nye 8-3
