The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team is now 1-1 overall after a 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Goucher Gophers. 

The Lady lions showed pride and heart as they unfortunately fell to Goucher 7-2. But this win was no easy task for Goucher as the Lady lions put up a fight. Each match had the Harrisburg crowd cheering and applauding the great efforts of its team.

One of the bright spots of the day was an 8-6 doubles win by Jessica Miller (Manheim, Pa/Manheim Central) and Shawna Brandt (Jonestown, Pa/ Northern Lebanon) they displayed great teamwork and inspiring effort as they took this win.

The Lady lions will look to improve their record in their next tournament on Friday September 19.
