MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference play when the Lions handed United East foe Penn College its first loss of the season – a 1-0 decision – on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg (5-3-2, 2-0-0 United East) controlled the pace, the ball, and eventually the score in a 1-0 shutout victory over Penn College (6-1-5, 0-1-1 United East) on Saturday afternoon. The Lions outshot the Wildcats by a wide margin and the defense held the visitors to just one shot on the day.

The Lions were the aggressor for much of the contest but had no points to show for it until late in the first half when Katie Brown bent a pretty attempt around a group of Penn College defenders and into the left side of the net off a free kick from Kyla Brossoit after a Wildcat foul in the 42nd minute.

The second half was all Penn State Harrisburg, with the Lions applying constant pressure on the Penn College side of the field, earning six corner kicks, and getting off eight shots without surrendering an attempt to the Wildcats in the final 45 minutes.
