READING, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team held off a late rally from Penn College to earn a 3-2 victory in conference tournament semifinal action on Friday afternoon and advance to the United East Championship Game for the third straight season.

The Lions (13-3-3) struck first when Sydney Armstrong headed home a goal off an assist from Makayla Grace Weber with less than four minutes left in the first half.

The 1-2 punch of Kyla Brossoit and Abigail Frew struck early in the second half, with Brossoit doubling the advantage in the 50th minute off helpers from Serenity Hill and Isabelle Toni, and Frew finishing off a corner kick insertion from Weber by way of Hannah Wheeler three minutes later.

The Wildcats (9-9-1) made a late push that started with a Sara Darlington marker off a Cassie Johnson assist in the 68th minute. Penn College kept the pressure on and cut the deficit to one when Darlington finished off a cross in the box from Johnson in the 83rd minute.

Penn State Harrisburg settled things down and closed out the final six and a half minutes to hold on for the win and secure a spot in Saturday afternoon's conference championship game.
