MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team won its second straight game in impressive fashion, besting Hood 3-1 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 10.

Sydney Hemler, Kylee Altland, and Isabelle Toni scored one goal apiece, while Makayla Grace Weber and Hannah Wheeler each added assists for the Lions (2-1-2).

Hemler got the scoring started midway through the first half when she headed home a perfectly-placed corner kick from Makayla Grace Weber in the 17th minute. After the Blazers (0-1-2) tied things up late in the first half, Altland responded by meandering through a gaggle of Hood defenders and burying a beautiful goal from distance with less than a minute remaining before the break.

The Lions added more insurance early in the second half when Toni finished off a Wheeler header with a header of her own following a corner kick insertion in the 50th minute.

- Penn State Harrisburg outshot the Blazers 14-4 overall and 10-2 in shots on goal.
