Women's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day With Shutout Victory

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team was in complete control during an impressive 6-0 shutout victory over conference foe Wells on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 9. Kylee Altland led the way with two goals and Sarah Toche-Manley added a pair of assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Lions (5-4-4, 4-0-1 United East) celebrated their 2021 Senior Day with a convincing 6-0 win over Wells (1-11, 1-4 United East) on Saturday afternoon.

Penn State Harrisburg got rolling midway through the first half when Eden Haldeman corralled a rebounded ball and fired a shot into the back of the net in the 24th minute. Her marker opened the floodgates, as Altland netted her first strike of the afternoon less than three minutes later. Next up was Kyla Brossoit in the 35th minute off a find from Toche-Manley before Olivia Inch got into the scoring act less than four minutes later thanks to Toche-Manley's second helper of the day.

The Blue & White took a four-goal advantage into halftime and Altland added her second marker of the day just 10 minutes after the break. Katie Kosovac assisted on the first score of the second half. Finally, it was Hannah Morrison finding twine to cap the day's scoring off a helper from Hannah Arnold with 4:34 left to play.
