Haladay, Socash Lead Women's Soccer All-Conference Picks

LATHAM, N.Y. – Led by first-teamers Rhyan Socash and Mackenzie Haladay, a total of five Penn State Harrisburg players have earned North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Soccer All-Conference recognition thanks to their stellar play this season.

Socash and Haladay landed on the NEAC All-Conference First Team, Haley Vavrek garnered second-team all-conference honors and Elizabeth Clippinger and Sydney Hemler picked up third-team all-conference accolades.

Socash proved one of the league's top offensive threats, as evidenced by her team-leading 13 goals and 29 total points. The midfielder leads the conference with five game-winning scores, while her goals total ranks her fourth in the league and her points output is good enough to rank her sixth among NEAC players. The sophomore has twice recorded hat tricks this year to go along with three assists.

Haladay's first-team honor comes a year after earning Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Second-Team All-Conference recognition last fall. The senior defender has tallied a pair of goals this season and she leads the Lions with five assists. The team captain helped anchor a defensive unit that registered a 1.72 goals-allowed average.

Vavrek is another of the Blue & White's top defenders and the team captain netted a goal and added a helper this fall. The senior outside back was one of the key contributors on a back line that helped record three shutouts on the season.

Clippinger was another of the team's top goal scorers and the senior forward ranked third among Penn State Harrisburg players with six markers on the year. The team captain netted one game winner and added a pair of assists to tally 14 total points this fall.

Hemler acclimated herself well during her first collegiate season, with the freshman contributing on the back line from day one. The defender also made her mark on the offensive end, with her four assists ranking second among Blue & White players.
