York, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team traveled to face off against the York College Spartan's on Wednesday October 5th. After going down 1-0 early in the first half, the Lions battled back thanks to goals from Kristen Stark and Erica Hile helped Harrisburg to a 2-1 important conference road win

-The Spartans got off to a quick start, scoring their only goal of the game in the second minute of play. Maxine Herman finished a loose ball that Harrisburg struggled to clear out of the box
-The Lion's tied up the game as Kristen Stark scooped up a through ball from teammate Madison Hemler. Stark chipped the ball over Spartan goal keeper Brittany Cullison with 8 minutes to go in the first half
-The Lion's wasted no time in the second half to grab the game winner as Erica Hile collected a loose ball and shot from nearly 40 yards out. Hile's shot fell right under the cross bar and above the goal keeper's hands. Hile's goal occurred only 6 minutes into the second half
-Both teams battled back and forth for the remainder of the game but the Lion's defense stood strong and kept a zero for the rest of the match up
-Today was the first time Penn State Harrisburg has beaten York since joining the CAC
