Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis team opened up their 2016 season against Lancaster Bible College on Thursday March 17th. The men swept the Charger's in both doubles and singles, 9-0.
Senior Tyler Cook (Harve de Grace, Md. / Harve de Grace) and sophomore James Moore (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area) led the Lion's in their doubles match, 8-1. Rafael Fernandes (Valinhos, Brazil / Colegio Visconde de Porto Seguro) and Austin Pokopec (York, Pa. / Central York) also dominated in their match, going on to win, 8-2.
Fernandes, Cook, Moore, and Pokopec went on to win each of their singles matches. Marco Guerrero (Delran, NJ / Deliah) added to Harrisburg's tally with a 6-1 win. Ethan Finger (Lancaster, Pa. / Conestoga Valley) finished the day out for Harrisburg with a 6-2 win.
The Blue and White will travel to Mary Washington on Saturday March 20th to open up conference play. The match is scheduled for 4 pm.
