Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.
The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team is hosting a summer ID clinic on Monday June 27th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. The ID clinics will provide high school student-athletes with the opportunity to receive coaching from the our coaching staff as well as interaction with the current players. Players will see what a typical Penn State training session looks like and get a feel for the coaching style and the culture of our program. The clinic will also include a question and answer session at the end of the clinic.
Middletown, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg Office of Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce Daniel J. Krzyzanowicz as the new head men’s soccer coach. Coach “K” as he is commonly referred to by his coaching peers and players has 19 seasons of collegiate coaching experience. This includes 13 seasons as a men’s head coach, five seasons as a women’s head coach and one as a men’s assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level. Coach Krzyzanowicz also has coached professionally with Hersey native and reigning USL Coach of the Year Bob Lilley as the top assistant on the Rochester Rhinos staff in 2014.
Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team faced off against the Mary Washington Eagles on Wednesday October 28th for their final contest of the year. Unfortunately the Eagles, fighting for a home playoff game, took an early lead on route to a 6-0 win.
Middletown, Pa.- After a difficult game at Frostburg State, the Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team looked to get their second conference win of the year against Marymount (Va.) this afternoon. The Nittany Lions put up a solid effort and had several offensive opportunities but this combination was not enough to beat the Saints.
Frostburg, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg Men’s Soccer team traveled to Frostburg, Md. in a conference match-up with the Bobcats. The Nittany Lions were held scoreless for the whole game and lost 4-0.
Middletown, Pa.- It was a great afternoon for the Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team. The men shut out Southern Virginia at home, 2-0, to get their first conference win of the year.
Middletown, Pa.- This afternoon the Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team took on fellow CAC conference opponent Wesley. At halftime, the Wolverines were leading 2-0 but Harrisburg was able to score two goals in the second half before falling to Wesley 4-2.
Salisbury, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team suffered another difficult loss this afternoon at Capital Athletic Conference opponent Salisbury. The men fought hard for all ninety minutes but fell 3-0.
Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team dealt with another tough opponent this afternoon at home. Harrisburg hosted York College (Pa.) in an important conference game but the men fell 2-1 to a very strong Spartan team.
Leonardtown, Md- It was a challenging afternoon for the Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team. The Nittany Lions travelled to St. Mary’s for their second conference game of the season. The Seahawk’s handed the Lions their second conference lost, 6-0.
Selinsgrove, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team fought hard tonight against Susquehanna. The Crusaders were able to get one goal past the Lions defense in the first half.
The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team struggled on the road tonight against Christopher Newport. The Lions fell in their first conference game of the year 5-0.
Westminster, Md.- After coming off a strong 4-0 performance at home against Albright, Penn State Harrisburg went on the road to play McDaniel on Tuesday September 22nd. After a valiant effort and two overtime periods, the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg mens soccer team dominated visitor Albright College yesterday in a much needed win for the home team. The Nittany Lions were able to score three goals yesterday while also keeping a zero.
Reading, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team lost a difficult match tonight against Alvernia. The Nittany Lions lost 4-0 to the Crusaders.
Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team battled Goucher this afternoon tiring it up in the last few minutes before sending it to overtime where it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Middletown, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team left no doubt in their first home contest of the season against the Delaware Valley Aggies on Saturday September 5th. After a slow start, the Lions got hot in the final fifteen minutes of the first half to take a 3-0 lead after the first 45 minutes of play.
Elizabethtown, Pa. - Last week the Penn State Harrisburg men’s soccer team was picked to finish sixth in their 2015 season. Today the Lions proved they are going to be a strong competitor in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) in their opening match against Elizabethtown College.
Despite a 2014 regular season second place finish and claiming Capital Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference second place finishes; the Lions were picked to finish sixth in 2015. Fortunately, they will have to prove their worth this season where it matters most, on the field.
