Lions Fall in Season Finale to Mary Washington

Middletown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team faced off against the Mary Washington Eagles on Wednesday October 28th for their final contest of the year.   Unfortunately the Eagles, fighting for a home playoff game, took an early lead on route to a 6-0 win.

Mary Washington's Ben Cisse started the game off with a fourteen minute hat trick scoring in the 2nd, 7th, and 14th minute to lead the charge for the Eagles.  The Lions had a few chances to get the game back within reach in the first half thanks to the hard working play of Manny Little (Selinsgrove, Pa. / Selinsgrove), but the Eagle defense was able to clear his would be goal off of the line to keep the Blue and White shutout before the half.

With the score 4-0 at the start of the second half, Penn State Harrisburg hoped to score early in the second half and start the comeback.  The Eagles had a different game plan and finished the second half by scoring two more goals.  Despite the significant offensive pressure the Lion's gave in the second half, they were unable to find the net.

The Lions finish the season with an overall record of 3-11-2 and 1-8 in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play.  They will need to regroup this off season in search of the winning formula they found in 2014 when they finished second place in both the regular season and conference playoffs.
