Men's Golf Opens Spring Play at McDaniel's Spring Invite

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - After Saturday's wet weather cancelled round one, Penn State Harrisburg's men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2022-23 campaign at McDaniel's Spring Invite on Sunday afternoon, March 26. 

 

The Lions finished tied for 14th place out of 17 total teams after combining to shoot a 335 (+47) at the Bridges Golf Club. 

 

Individually, Josh Africa led the way for Penn State Harrisburg, carding an 82 (+10) and earning a share of 50th place out of 90 competing golfers. Jonathan Donovan and Ian Martin each shot an 83 (+11); good enough to secure a share of 60th overall. Matthew Redman finished tied for 74th with an 87 (+15) and Tyler Sullivan rounded things out for the Lions with a 96 (+24).

 

Penn State Harrisburg returns to action on Monday at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Monday afternoon.
