Lions Still Looking for First Win

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's tennis team got off to a bit of a rocky start over the weekend as the Lions fell to Albright in their 2011 season opener on Saturday, Sept. 17, and dropped their second contest to Juniata the next day.

Juniors Madeline Kuzo (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) and Theodora Avaramidis (Glenwood, NJ/Vernon Township) won both their singles matches and doubles match as a team against their Albright opponents. Unfortunately, these were the only victories of the day and the blue and white eventually fell to the visitors 6-3.

The match against Juniata didn't go as well. Unfortunately, Penn State Harrisburg was unable to record even one win and dropped the contest to the visiting Eagles 9-0.

The Lion women will look to pick up their first win of the young season when they travel to Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday, Sept. 24.
