Women's Tennis Weekend Wrap-Up

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team was busy on the court this past weekend as they faced Immaculata University on Saturday and Susquehanna University on Sunday.

Although Immaculata handed the Lady Lions their second loss of the season, the Lady Lions were able to grab three big wins. Freshman Kelly Jackson (Hershey, PA/Hershey), playing at the number one position, defeated the Mighty Mac's Felicia Thomas 8-2. At the number two spot, Becca Bomberger (Mountville, PA/Penn Manor) outscored Julie Einwechter 8-1. Jackson and Bomberger went on to take a comanding win in their doubles match against Ennwechter and Thomas of Immaculata. Penn State Harrisburg fell 3-6 in their Saturday contest.

Sunday was a tough day for the Lady Lions as they were blanked 0-9 by Susquehanna University. 

Penn State looks for the first win of the season today, Tuesday, September 21, at 4:00 PM against Hood College.
