MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a convincing 7-0 shutout victory over United East foe Penn State Abington on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 21.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg (9-3-4, 4-0-1 United East) scored early and often to cruise to a win over Penn State Abington (2-12-0, 1-4-0 United East) on Saturday afternoon and remain unbeaten in conference play.

Kyla Brossoit got the scoring started with what proved to be her sixth game-winning goal of the year in the seventh minute off an assist from Abigail Frew. Olivia Inch doubled the advantage with a marker in the 22nd minute off a feed from Kylee Altland and Sydney Hemler netted the first of her two goals on the day six minutes later off another helper from Frew. Penn State Harrisburg added one more before the break when Sydney Armstrong finished off a cross from Serenity Hill in the first half's final minute.

The home team stayed hot in the second half and wasted little time tacking on a fifth goal less than two minutes after the break when Hemler headed home her second marker of the day off a corner kick insertion from Altland. Brossoit made it a multi-score day for herself as well when she punched one into the back of the net in the 49th minute off Frew's third assist of the game and Katelyn Monnette put the finishing touches on the scoring with a goal off an Armstrong find with less than four minutes remaining.
