MIDDLETOWN, Pa - Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team defeated non-conference opponent Muhlenburg 4-0 on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 14.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Despite steady rain and slippery conditions, Penn State Harrisburg was able to overcome the Mules thanks to goals from four different players on the afternoon.

The Lions opened the scoring midway through the first half as Kyla Brossoit took the pass from Serenity Hill and was able to maneuver one past the Mules goalkeeper Sara Pecorelli. Later in the first half, the Penn State Harrisburg scored two more goals off of plays that were in close range to the Muhlenberg net, as Brin Moore and Sydney Hemler's markers extended the lead to 3-0 at halftime.

Although the rain picked up in the second half, the Lions continued to maintain control of the ball as Muhlenberg was not able to register a shot on goal thanks to a stalwart defensive performance by the Lions. Following a Mules foul around the 70-minute mark, Gabriella Muccio was able to glide one in off the set up from Katie Brown to give Penn State Harrisburg their fourth and final goal of the afternoon
