kyla brossoit celebrates with sydney hemler after scoring the game winning goal against Arcadia

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Thanks to Kyla Brossoit's marker and a brilliant penalty kick save by Sydney Mulka, Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team extended its recent unbeaten streak to seven games with a 1-0 shutout victory over Arcadia on Tuesday night, Oct. 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After Brossoit put Penn State Harrisburg (7-3-3) ahead in the second half, Mulka preserved the lead in thrilling fashion to secure a hard-fought win over Arcadia (6-8) on Tuesday night.

Brossoit broke the scoreless tie that lasted for 59 minutes when she collected a ball from Kylie Anne Yap near midfield and used her left leg to blast her attempt past Arcadia goalkeeper Abby Fuchs and into the right side of the net with 30:58 left to play.

The Lions clung to the one-goal advantage late into the second half but gave the visitors a chance to even things up by committing a foul in the box with less than 13 minutes to play. Abby Stephens stepped to the line for the Knights and fired her shot towards the net but Mulka made a diving stop to thwart the attempt, turn Arcadia away, and preserve the thrilling victory.
