MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Steady rain and blustery winds couldn't slow Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team in a 12-0 victory over Gallaudet in the team's United East opener on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Penn State Harrisburg (4-3-1, 1-0 United East) scored early and often in a convincing win over Gallaudet (3-4, 0-1 United East) on Saturday afternoon. Serenity Hill, Olivia Inch, and Katelyn Monette each scored a pair of goals in the victory, while Monette added three assists.

Isabelle Toni got the scoring started just 56 seconds into the contest before Abigail Frew added another off a Sarah Toche-Manley helper in the eighth minute.

Hill needed little more than a minute to net her two goals in the 13th and 14th minutes, respectively, and Monette made it 5-0 with her first marker in the 16th minute. The home team kept the early momentum rolling with two goals from Inch, one from Sydney Armstrong, and another from Monette before halftime.

In the second half, Gabriella Muccio tacked on a marker before Madison Lee netted her first goal of the season in the 55th minute. Sophia Meller capped the game's scoring before the contest was halted in the 70th minute due to weather.
