KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a strong start to the 2023 campaign, Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer program has been included in the first United Soccer Coaches (USC) Regional Rankings of the season.

The Lions (2-2) debuted at No. 8 in the USC Region IV Rankings thanks to splitting their first four contests of the fall. Penn State Harrisburg opened the season with a victory at Roanoke and shut out Bryn Mawr last week. The team's two setbacks came at the hands of perennial contenders Lynchburg and TCNJ.

Misericorida holds the top spot, Montclair State sits in the runner-up position, and TCNJ is ranked third. Rowan sits fourth and NYU rounds out the top five. Penn State Harrisburg's United East rival Penn State Berks holds the sixth spot, while Stockton is ranked seventh in the initial rankings.

Penn State Harrisburg returns to action at Goucher on Wednesday night before hosting Shenandoah for another tough non-conference showdown on Saturday afternoon.
