Altland Nets OT Goal to Lead W. Soccer Past Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg's women's soccer team completed a thrilling comeback at Lancaster Bible to remain undefeated in conference play. Kylee Altland netted the game-winner four minutes into overtime to seal the 2-1 double-OT victory on Wednesday night, Oct. 13.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Penn State Harrisburg (6-4-4, 5-0-1 United East) erased an early deficit en route to a 2-1 double-overtime victory over conference foe Lancaster Bible (6-7, 3-2 United East) on Wednesday night.

The Blue & White fell behind in the early going when LBC's Jade Weir netted the game's first goal off assists from Taylor Shultz and Kara Huber just nine minutes into the contest. The Chargers' lead held into the second half thanks to four saves made by goalkeeper Hannah Leib.

The momentum began to shift midway through the second half when Sarah Toche-Manley lofted an attempt past Leib and into the back of the net to tie things up in the 62nd minute. The Lions got off two more shots in regulation but Leib proved game, making stops on both to send the game to overtime.

Little more than four and half minutes into overtime, however, Altland finally beat Leib when she corralled a ball from Eden Haldeman and connected on the game-winning marker to complete the comeback win and end things in the 94th minute.
