Lady Lions Shine in 3-0 Win Over Southern Virginia

Middletown, Pa. The Lady Lions kept their unbeaten home record in tact with an impressive 3-0 win over the Southern Virginia Knights on Saturday September 30thKristen Stark, Raquel Grice and Elizabeth Clippinger all chipped in with a goal apiece for the win.

How it Happened:

After a tight first fifteen, Harrisburg started to find their stride and shortly after Kristen Stark scored the opening goal in the 18th minute.   From that point on, the Lions continued to improve play and keep the Knights from any serious chances.  Raquel Grice and Elizabeth Clippinger each scored in the second half goal to give the Blue and White a 3-0 win.  Penn State is now 1-1 in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play.

"This was probably our most complete game and it came at the ideal time.  The entire team played well and defensively we worked extremely smart and hard.  SVU had some quality players and we felt the women did well to keep their chances limited."

Penn State Harrisburg finishes a three game home stint with local rival York College on Tuesday October 3rd at 3:30 pm.  Both teams come into CAC play with a 1-1 record after recording three goal wins on Saturday.
