The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team hosted their annual team banquet on Sunday January 22nd. As usual the parents and team supporters did a great job with the food and set up, which made this years event extra special. A total of just under 100 people filled the Student Services Center of the Capital Union Building, which included the team, coaches, parents, family and friends of the program.
The banquet included time for the girls to reminisce about the fall season and think about the future spring coming up. Alyssa Crowley was the lone senior recognized for her time with the team and all the effort she has put into helping to build the Lion women to where they are today. All the coaches took their turns saying their thanks and giving words of wisdom and reflection from the season.
"It was very special to see all the players and their families this year. Just looking around the room you could see the growth of the program and the support the team has from the many who were there." Coach Clay continued with, "We enjoyed spending some time just having a meal and some fun, but it also reminds all of us of the work we have ahead of us."
Penn State Harrisburg's next team event is the Alumni game being held on April 8th. Make sure to save the date.
