Leonardtown, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team failed to ride the momentum it had established from the recent win over Wesley this past Wednesday. The Nittany Lions dropped a 4-0 decision today against conference opponent St. Mary's. 

 The women stayed strong throughout the opening thirty-five minutes of the game by keeping a zero in the back. Goalkeeper Samantha Kutcher (Lititz, Pa. / Warwick High School) was back in goal after being out on Wednesday. She had eight big saves for the Lions throughout the game. St. Mary's scored their first goal of the game off of a pass from forty yards out that was finished by their top forward Gillian Sawyer. The Seahawk's would go on to score three more goals in the second half. 

 Assistant Coach Demetrios Papadapoulos had several positive things to say about the women's difficult loss, "I thought we started out strong and had some great opportunities but we couldn't find that finishing touch. We battled hard for 90 minutes but the ball didn't bounce our way. We hope to bring the same intensity to Frostburg State on Wednesday and get some points on the road."

Penn State Harrisburg will look to improve from 1-2 in the conference on Wednesday, October 7th. The Nittany Lions will travel to Frostburg State, kick off is scheduled for 7 pm.
