Chargers Top Ladies In Home Opener

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team faced the Lancaster Bible College Chargers in their first home game as NCAA Division III members.

The Chargers opened up the game strong with an unassisted goal from Whitney Heise at the 88th minute mark.  The Lady Lions responded with a goal of their own in the 77th minute when Senior Adrienne Stine (York, PA/Northeastern) took advantage of a free kick and scored her third goal of the season, tying up the game early. The tie didn't last long as Lancaster Bible College took the lead at the 70th minute with an unassisted goal from Kristiana Clairmont on a free kick. The Chargers kept the 2-1 lead through the half.

The lone goal of the second period came from Ally Brown of the Chargers, making the final score 3-1, with Lancaster Bible College on top. 

The Lady Lions will look for a win as they travel to meet the Philadelphia Biblical University Eagles on Saturday, September 11th at noon.
