Back to Back Shutouts for the Lady Lions

MIDDLETOWN, PA - Wednesday´s victory over the Chargers of Lancaster Bible College gives Angela Gilmore(Millersburg Area/Millersburg, PA) and the Lady Lions back to back shut out victories. Last week´s NEAC Athlete of the Week, Adrienne Stine (Northeastern/ York, PA), scored her team high fifth goal of the season in the 21st minute giving the Lady Lions the lead. In the second half the Chargers put more pressure on the Lions´ defense, but Gilmore protected her goal saving 5 out of the Chargers´ 5 shots on goal in the second half, completing the shut out. "Today was a solid performance from top to bottom. There were no individuals out there. We played as a team and everybody played their part well," commented Coach Mark Brown after the game.

The blue and white will take this momentum into their next game on October 8th against rival opponent Penn State Berks in Reading, Pennsylvania.
