GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Gettysburg in a non-conference matchup on Friday afternoon, March 29.

Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic competed hard before falling 8-4 in the No.1 doubles outing, as did Owen Ou and Derwin Merca in an 8-3 setback in the No. 2 matchup. Andrew Schreck and Vik Patel also dropped an 8-6 decision in the third doubles contest.

The Lions (5-5) also struggled to find momentum throughout singles action, but Wheeler forced Kagan into a deciding set in the top singles match before falling by a score of 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). Cuturic went up against the Bullets' Mikey Fellman but came up short in a 6-1, 6-2 loss in the No. 2 outing.

Ou fought to the very end in the third singles matchup, but Gettysburg's Contract came away with the 6-2, 6-5 victory. Gettysburg (5-3) continued to be strong in the bottom of the lineup as well, as Merca, Patel, and Clayton Herb were each defeated in the fourth, fifth, and sixth singles contests, respectively.

The Blue & White have a quick turnaround as they have their first United East conference matchup against Lancaster Bible on Saturday, March 30. The contest is set to start at 12 p.m. at the Hoverter Tennis Complex in Middletown, Pa.
