Men's Tennis Gets Back On Track With Win at Lancaster Bible

LANDISVILLE, Pa. - In the team's penultimate United East match of the regular season, Penn State Harrisburg men's tennis defeated conference foe Lancaster Bible 6-3 on Friday afternoon, April 21. 

 

The Lions took two of three from the Chargers in doubles action, with Owen Ou and Derwin Merca besting AJ Kwiatkowski and Micah Weaver 8-2 in the top matchup before AJ Krasley and Andrew Schreck worked hard for an 8-7 victory in the No. 2 contest.

 

Penn State Harrisburg's top four also secured wins in singles play, as Krasley defeated LBC's Josh Jarvis 6-1, 7-6 in the No. 1 outing, Schreck topped Weaver 6-2, 6-2 in the second contest, Ou came from behind to best Malachi Bomgardner 0-6, 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 3 matchup, and Merca outlasted Kwiatkowski 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 to win the No. 4 contest.

 

The Lions (7-4, 3-1 United East) will wrap conference play at Penn College on Saturday afternoon before hosting Penn State Brandywine for their regular season finale on Wednesday evening.
