Men's Tennis Falls to Conference Leaders From St. Mary's (Md.)

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - In the team's regular season home finale, Penn State Harrisburg dropped an 8-1 decision to the United East leaders from St. Mary's (Md.) at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Tuesday afternoon, April 18.

 

Derwin Merca and Owen Ou turned in the strongest performances of the day for the home team. They worked hard before falling to Boris Palmade and Stephen Alan 8-6 in the top doubles matchup before both took part in three-set singles contests, with Merca coming from behind to defeat Keawe Johnson 0-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the No. 4 solo outing and Ou falling to Nick Rohr 3-6, 6-4, 2-10 in the No. 3 match. 

 

The Lions (6-4, 2-1 United East) will look to bounce back when they travel to Lancaster Bible for their penultimate match of the regular season on Friday afternoon.
