Men's Tennis Falls to Albion On Last Day of Spring Break

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Penn State Harrisburg's men's tennis team capped off its week-long spring break trip in South Carolina, falling 7-2 to Albion on Wednesday afternoon, March 6.

Sachin Venkatesh and Isaac George led the way for the Lions (6-3) in doubles play, as the pair picked up an 8-2 victory in the No. 1 outing. The second and third contests were close but the No. 2 duo of Austin Stehman and Hyun Jun Kwon dropped an 8-6 decision, as did the No. 3 team of Alex Kurtz and Jared Gluck.

Kwon was the lone Blue & White player to emerge victorious in singles action, defeating Albion's Israel Trevino 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 matchup. Stehman and Ebram Samouel each forced their counterparts to a third set in the No. 5 and No. 6 outings, respectively, but ultimately came up just short.

The Lions return home from Hilton Head and will get 10 days off before their next matchup. The Blue & White host Penn State Berks at the Hoverter Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon, March 16.
