FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The 2022 season came to an end for Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team with a 2-1 double-overtime loss to Ohio Wesleyan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Mary Washington's Battleground Complex on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 12.

The Lions (10-3-7) fell behind late in the first half when Ohio Wesleyan's Dom Calabrese gathered a ball in the left side of the box and skirted his attempt into the back of the net in the 40th minute.

Penn State Harrisburg kept the deficit to one for the rest of regulation and eventually broke through following a foul by the Battling Bishops (11-4-4) in the box with 70 seconds left in the second half. Marc Rodgers buried the ensuing penalty kick to tie things up in the 88th minute and send the game to overtime.

In the closing moments of the first extra session, Ohio Wesleyan regained the lead when Calabrese beat a pair of Penn State Harrisburg defenders to a ball and raced into the box to score what proved to be the game-winning marker in the 98th minute.
