Harris' Late Goal Secures Draw For Men's Soccer

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg's men's soccer team netted a late equalizer to salvage a 1-1 draw with United East foe Penn College on Tuesday night, Sept. 20.

 

After trailing for more than 70 minutes, the Lions (3-2-3, 1-0-1 United East) finally made good on their aggressiveness when Kobe Harris buried the game-tying marker in the 83rd minute. 

 

The hometown Wildcats (1-4-2, 0-1-1 United East) took an early lead when Dylan Dailey gathered a pass from Tad Shellenberger and split a pair of Penn State Harrisburg defenders before finding the back of the net in the 15th minute.

 

The Lions nearly tripled Penn College's shots on goal output but were unable to break through until Harris' effort with less than seven minutes remaining.

 

NOTABLES

- Penn State Harrisburg outshot the Wildcats 23-7 overall and 11-4 in shots on goal.

- The Lions finished with a massive 13-0 advantage in corner kicks.

- The team's combined for seven cards on the night.

- Harris' marker was his third of the season. He's now tallied nine points on the year.

- Richard Lockard made three saves in goal for Penn State Harrisburg.

- Goalkeeper Cole Catherman was the star for Penn College, making 10 stops on the night.
